So, yeah.
First things first, I suppose I should give a bit of an update since my last entry there, huh? Well, turns out I didn't get into York for a BED. Got an interview [how exciting!] but no dice on an actual successfull application. They were supposed to let me know whether I was in or not on my birthday, of all dates, and apparently York decided to stretch it out to mid-month for a denial. That was hard to take, let me tell you.
Also, family got a puppy. He's a little over a year old now, cute as hell, but extremely anti-social with new people. If one recalls the mythology around the Greek god Ares [my puppy's name!] you'd find their personalities almost identical. Much soft fuzzy entrails were strewn about in Ares' wake, and no toy or sock was safe from his godly wrath. He also has an orc's overbite, which is so friggin' adorable.
In other news, I have gone back to school. Decided to obtain a degree in Criminology and Criminal Justice. Why? The short answer is because it's interesting. Other possible reasons include: I have a better shot of actually getting a job afterwards; I'm gaining new skills for the workforce; there's a sweet co-op gig in it for me if I do really well with my courses; and, well, I've always found myself interested in that field of research. I'm also getting a minor in Women and Gender Studies for roughly the same reasons.
